I haven’t been this excited about a fishing weekend for a while. Friday and Sunday will be good, but on Saturday we’re looking at clear skies and low swell.
Sounds like I’m grabbing a cooler and hitting the coast. With commercial crab season ongoing, I’m looking to snatch up some fat Dungeness crab before the best are gone. I don’t even know if that’s logical but that’s how my mind works.
I’ll probably get some perch fishing in too. If you’re inland in the Bay it’s a good time to hit the piers and shoreline too.

Not a ton of boats out this week. Looks like everyone is getting geared up for March and April. The anticipation is killing me!
Bay Area Tides Social Media Report:
Sturgeon: Sturgeon being caught from San Pablo to Suisun Bay. That’s the hot spot. Find some shore and get some!
Striped Bass: Not as much activity, but it’s still all centered around the Carquinez Strait.
Crab: Big Dungeness out of the Pillar Point Harbor area. Anglers hitting Ocean Beach as usual. Commercial season in full swing.
Herring: These reports change on a dime, but we’ve seen a lot of love in Richardson Bay. Specifically by Sausalito. Waiting to see what pans out.
